Quill Mill

Quilling is an age old paper art where strips of papers are rolled, shaped and glued together to create different patterns and designs. Even though it sounds simple, special skill, imagination and lots of patience is required for this kind of craft. Recently I happen to come across a page called Quill Mill, where this form of creativity is used in jewelry, watches, stationery and in home décor. Meeta Bhalotia, based in Cochin, started her adventure in Quilling for the past five years and Quill Mill was born.

Enjoy her creativity!

A Home Work Space for you

For the past few months I have been looking for a workstation that is functional and practical that can be tucked away in a corner of any room. You don’t need a separate room for a fully functional office. There are varieties of corner desks in the market but choose one that is designed to maximize work space and has storage solutions. For simple storage solutions you can install shelves and cabinets above your work space or buy a desk with a hutch. And finally make your workspace stylish, refreshing and well decorated to bring fun and colour to your daily routine.

Have a look at these lovely workspaces from Houzz for some ideas.

Christmas Love from my home

Brimming with Christmas spirit, I have been so busy trying to bring in the festive season in my home. The decorations are all put up, chopped and soaked dry fruits for my Christmas cake, trying out a couple of new recipes for Christmas and shopping for gifts. And to add into the spirit I watched a beautiful Christmas concert sung by Muscat Singers which was truly magical. And there is still so much to do!!! A good friend of mine highlighted yesterday that it’s about time that I show some Christmas love from my home and here it is.

I’d love to hear what you all are up to for Christmas.
